What makes a modern pellet burner different?
The pellet burner is an automated system that controls the amount of fuel, the amount of air, the burning rate and the power. It is this control that allows for much cleaner and more stable combustion compared to classic stoves and manual boilers.
Fuel supply and ignition
The fuel is fed through a screw mechanism, the most important thing is that the dosage is uniform. Too many or too few pellets lead to an unstable flame, while in a well-tuned system the screw feeds fuel at precisely defined intervals to maintain an optimal layer in the combustion chamber.
Ignition is carried out by a heater, which heats the air in the chamber to a temperature sufficient for ignition. The process depends on the pellets, air and settings, and the key is that the ignition is repeatable and stable, which is a priority in the RB design.
